analogies don’t work when the compared to.phrase is more obscure than the original discussion
Well it was the best analogy I could think of.
Another analogy would be the European hockey leagues to the NHL. The NHL is the National Hockey League. It has teams throughout Canada and the US and the best players from around the world play in it.
That’s kind of funny. The World Series isn’t the world and the NHL isn’t national.
The NHL only had Canadian teams until 1924 when the first US team (the Bruins) was admitted. Thus the moniker was accurate until then. I guess no one ever got around to changing it.
And the American Hockey League has both US and Canadian teams.
Did you learn nothing from Bad Bunny about the meaning of America?
I did not.
A shitload of people live vastly different lives in USA.
I learned more about the idiots whingeing about Bad Bunny.
Update: no FCC violations that they could create at this time:
“Scrubbed”? I had no idea the US was such a nanny state about that type of lyrics on TV.
Oh, (bleep) yeah! On Over-the-air broadcasts (still under the jurisdiction of the FCC which is run by tRump idolatrists, one can barely say any of the infamous “Seven Words” (Carlin). Especially during a family show like American Football. Violence, of course, is OK. Showing several replays of someone breaking their leg or putting their knee out of joint is alright, almost mandatory. But, a curse word? (bleep) no! Think Of The Children who were just traumatized by the brain injury that will eventually lead to death!
Cable is a different story.
