Never too early. The “season” starts in 7 weeks!!
ESPN is not even bother with the “Way Too Early” rankings, downgraded to just “Early”:
Huh, now it says “Way Too Early.”

When does Rodgers get traded to Minnesota?
Bears in the middle 1/3. We’re almost average!
Giants aren’t last. Yahoo!
From an athlon sports article…
DraftKings has Pittsburgh at 2-to-1 in its odds for Rodgers.
So, he’s going to get another coach fired
The Raiders are 3-1, and the 49ers are listed at 7-2. Other longshots listed include the Vikings, the Titans, the Colts, the Rams and Giants.
Story I saw said if Rodgers were still a Jet next year, all mandatory practices would actually be mandatory for him and no more personal appearances not sanctioned by the Jets, so no more McAfee and that sweet million dollars.
Jets announce split with Aaron Rodgers, wish him success - ESPN
Per Woody Johnson: “From day one, he embodied all that it meant to be a New York Jet…”
I agree, he was a disaster.
Cross-Sport topic. I’ll put here cuz more traffic:
:ctm:
Tucker’s getting toward Deshaun Watson numbers now.
But she’s a big NFL Football Team fan, so it’s all ok.
Re Travis Hunter:
I think he will play one-way and be brought in the other way on special occasions, either as a 5th receiver or a 5th/6th D-Back.
Unless he is better than the rest of the available players, in which case he will play most of each game until better players can be found. Rest time will require critical planning.
Question is, is he that much better than the player he replaces on whichever side of the ball?
also add in that it increases the chance of injury and the idea is even worse
What is the big deal here, if there is one?
McShay explained that both teams told him Sanders wasn’t “overly concerned with what they thought of him.”
“The two people that I spoke to were in meetings and had these individual meetings … left the meeting feeling like Shedeur Sanders was not overly concerned with what they thought of him,” McShay continued.“They had the 15-minute meeting with him and when they were done, they both said in different ways, different words, that they did not feel like Shedeur Sanders cared all that much about what that organization thought of him.”
First off: why the triplicate response? Gonna guess AI wrote it, and no person bothered to edit or proofread.
Second, why should he care what they thought of him? To me that would seem a bit needy. It also might be intentional, so they take him off their list so he can be drafted to a team he wants to play for.
Or, hoax.
nfl coaches have no place in their minds for someone who doesn’t seem to die over what those coaches tell them. when instead the kid might be wired differently than most and take it all in and still be willing to work hard at improving.
so he is the annual pinata for anonymous quotes shredding their draft prospects. that the super controlling nfl gets to do it to deion’s kid (and vicariously deion!) is extra fun for them
Sort of surprised that KC was willing to trade their season MVP and all Pro Joe Thuney to the Bears, and more surprised all it took was a future 4th rounder.
I get that Thuney is 32 and only has this year left on his current contract, but you don’t often see teams trade a top quality OL for so little.
The NFL hasn’t exactly nailed the QB drafting projections ever. Aaron Rodgers fell, Lamar Jackson fell, Josh Allen was said to be to inaccurate, Brock Purdy fell, Tom Brady fell, Jalen Hurts wasn’t a first rounder, Trubisky went in front of Mahomes (Buffalo traded out of position), Russell Wilson went late……
Yes, some top picks thrive (Manning, Burrow, Aikman, Elway). Others not so much (Russell, Couch, Carr).
Situation and drive is as important as skills. These are all super talented individuals. Sanders will be happy if he falls to Giants or Raiders.
agree. he was super valuable filling in at LT (until his skill set got exposed against the best teams).
they are re-tooling the OL and old man out it is. im surprised that’s all they got for him. But they may have only considered sending him to a place he was interested in as opposed to broadly shopping. back to new england would have been great for the pats - they need almost every OL they can get and have cap space. but…
Time for the Sam Howell era in Seattle…???
So, is Grady Jarrett any good?
