2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Not buying. Guess I’ll just view the scores afterward.
Thanks FIFA. You do not care if anyone actually watches your product. Just take the money.

Looks like we will get some Club WC cup games on TV after all, even if you don’t subscribe to DAZN

So far, my only tickets purchased for Club WC are Man City vs Al Ain.

Thought about getting tickets for the quarterfinal, but they are really pricey. Lower corners are $657 per seat before ticketmaster adds their junk fees and taxes. Same price on mid level deck in pretty good locations. Mid deck is $368 in poor locations. Top level is $368 for good locations, $257 for the rest.

At these prices, I’ll watch at home. Maybe I’ll go if I can score a last minute ticket at a discount.

Clubs will definitely take this more seriously with this kind of $ on the line:

Saw elsewhere the winner might get upwards of $100M. For reference, Man City got $5M for winning in 2023.

FIFA actually downgraded past Club World Cups so they only count as Intercontinental Cups.

This spices things up a bit: Club America and LAFC to play a one-match play-in. Planned, as there are some legal proceedings being held.

I got this offer today, looked at it for a minute, and decided it was crap.

Interesting strategy to cozy up to tRump when that base is far more anti-soccer. Does he think that cult will abandon their other cult and splurge for overpriced tix to soccer??

There is a Trump base within the US soccer community that only shows up once every 4 years for world cup. They believe we will win it all every world cup because they don’t watch matches in between world cups. I used to be an American Outlaws member, but that contingent ran me and others off.

Ngl, I will follow this only on sports outlets on the Web and here. I have zero interest in watching any of the games, and if the tournament got cancelled I’d applaud for all the guys who would be playing, but would now get weeks off.

That includes all the guys who could be on the USMNT, because they’ll pretty much drift aimlessly through the Gold Cup as things are going.

Infantino has no concerns about Club World Cup ticket sales. However there are lots of seats still available.

What? Me Worry?

Might be helpful for clubs to notify their American fans where they’re playing.
But yeah, the prices. No effing way.

The cheapest seat on Ticketmaster for the June 14 opening match in Miami Gardens, Florida, featuring Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF vs. Egyptian side Al Ahly, costs $356.80. Multiple sections in both the upper and lower decks of Hard Rock Stadium show over 100 tickets available on Ticketmaster.

The same goes for the second match of the tournament on June 15 in Cincinnati between Bayern Munich and Auckland City, with the cheapest seat going for a more reasonable $94.80 on Ticketmaster and multiple sections with over 100 tickets remaining.

For the first match at the Rose Bowl on June 15 between Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid, over half of the Rose Bowl’s 26 sections have at least 100 tickets available on Ticketmaster, with the cheapest seat being $133.80.

Meanwhile, the final team is yet to be decided:

Also, just noticed that SoCal has
6/14: MEX-DR (SoFi);
6/15: PDG-ATH (Rose Bowl);
6/16: PAN-GUAD and LAM-GUAT (Dignity Health Sports);
6/17: MONT-INT (Rose Bowl)
6/19: PSG-Botafogo (Rose Bowl)
6/21: RP-MONT (Rose Bowl)
6/23: ATH-Botafogo (Rose Bowl)
6/25: Urawa-MONT (Rose Bowl)
