The guy that referred this newbie to the league has a relatively poor waiver position. I think that’s the only person newbie knows in the league, which again makes me suspect stupidity rather than collusion.
This transaction apparently was a mistake, so I feel better now.

How are you feeling about your team post draft?
I am feeling my hitters aren’t using the torpedo bat like my opponent and that Devers isn’t sure what the bat is for (tough as a Sox fan)
Seems like Devers is swinging with a toothpick! I have him (on my bench while he works on his swing) in another league…

Like I always do in this league… should have drafted more top end pitching!
The better pitchers do go really early in this league.
I put Devers in for Herrera and Herrera hit 3 HRs. So far feeling ok about team. May have to fire the manager.

I drafted Herrera in 2 leagues, one as my starter and one in the last round as a daily fill-in…did not fill him in yesterday though. At least he’s the starter in my $$$ league!

Is Kyren Paris for real, or is it just variance on small sample size? He revamped his swing in the offseason with Judge’s batting coach.
Clearly he’s not going to keep up at current pace (OPS of 1.485), but 5HR and 4SB in only 28AB is nuts. I picked him up just in case it’s a breakout, but realize there’s a good chance it’s just variance.
Who would you drop given you have to pick one in weekly HTH points?
Kumar Rocker - phenomenal in college and minors, so bad this year it seemed like batting practice until a decent start today
Reece Olson - solid pitcher the last 2 years. Rotation spot on a good team. Pretty shitty early this season, but decent today
Wesneski - been reasonably good this year and recent years, can use in RP slot too boosting value
Springs - very good numbers the last few years, a bit mediocre so far, mostly injured the last 2 seasons
The Arbitrary’s opinion will be discounted assuming he might want whoever I drop
Drop them all, just to be safe

On another note I hate that stupid partiot day start that Boston has. I always forget about a 9 am Monday baseball game so while I did get Walker’s fine start in this league this week, he was on the bench in my other league and the game was over before I even checked my line up.
