We vote for the one we hate the most, right?
Well done with the first selection. I didn’t recognize either song, so I hit play. I didn’t make it through either song before the desire to shove scissors in my ears hit me.
Correct - vote for the one you hate more, though nothing says you can’t sandbag other brackets to try and get your most hated song to the end.
Oh. Come on. I don’t object at all to it being on the worst list, but the word is very clearly “pumpkin”.
I didn’t think there could be a worse option than Christmas Shoes but now I don’t even know anymore.
any Christmas songs by Train could be on here their Christmas album suuuuucks
There’s a problem with the seeding here because these both deserve to advance.
Whereas these are both decent songs.
Ok, I voted for a few but I don’t know all the songs. Will have to finish this later when I have time to listen.
Mods, please temp ban vjvj for perpetuating the lie about what Brenda Lee is saying in that song with instructions to listen closely and realize what she’s actually saying.
I actually don’t hate either of the songs from this matchup…
I wonder if there is a large overlap beween people who enjoy Hallmark Xmas movies and people who actually like many of the songs you have listed?
Probably. Probably the same people who like the “guy hugging the truck” commercial and think “you know, I wasn’t planning on buying a truck at Christmas, but that’s convinced me to take the plunge.”
Also probably explains why there’s evil in the world.
You could do some more traditional carols too - like “I Saw Three Ships”. What is that song even about? Someone just needed a metaphor and saw some ships, and thought - hey, Christmas song about ships! Let’s do it! And somehow it stuck.
