2024 Survivor Fantasy Football

There could always be a surprise QB injury first play of the game.

or a surprise game day scratch for resting an ‘injury’

Based on the first 2 weeks this season (390 total individual matchups) there were 28 with a score differential of 300+. So that’s 7.2% chance. But I’d have to be the winning team. So my estimate of winning this week is about 3.6%. Of course strategy will be part of it, and advantage goes to the player with the boosters, so I’ll give myself a 3% chance this week. But given the volatility of week 18 players playtime, I’ll boost it back up to 4%.

4% things happen

Updating my resume for a 3rd-place finish that was completely unexpected … ever! Definitely a season where I could have been run out much, much earlier.

Thanks as always, UA! Congrats to the final 2, and good luck!

Well jr put up 800 points before booster last week, with him having a 300 point head start on you, you might need a week like that.

If your 3 guys can combine for 5+ rushing/receiving tds you probably have a chance but that’s a lot to ask.

So basically if you were going to go all in on drew lock now is the time.

I think that boat sailed, but you know another Giant win and they probably drop 6 more slots so maybe he has another 5 TD game in him

I did hear the Eagles should do this on Sunday, since they’re locked into the 2-seed:

  • Play the starters
  • Get Saquon the season rushing record
  • Pull the starters
  • Make sure the Giants win so they get a worse pick in the draft and can’t land a decent QB

Does it really count if he does it in 17 games.

Does anyone still consider O.J. Simpson the season record holder because he did 2,003 yards in 14 games? If you’re looking at “yards per game” then sure, O.J. is 1st and Jim Brown (1963) is still 2nd and Walter Payton (1977) is 3rd, and Saquon doesn’t crack the top-10.

It’s like if you ask “who has the single-season receiving yardage record” - people will tell you it’s Calvin Johnson (1,964 yards in 2012 … in 16 games, for 122.8 YPG) and not Charley Hennigan (1,746 yards in 1961 in the AFL, in 14 games, for 124.7 YPG) or Elroy Hirsch (1,495 yards in 1951 in 12 games, for 124.6 YPG). Absolute numbers are what everyone remembers, not the “per game” marks.

If Barkely broke record on less carries it would have been legit to me. Just a matter of time b4 they are playing 18 games so the record will be broken eventually.

They are benching him this week so doesnt matter.

He was on track to break Dickerson’s record on fewer carries. [Dickerson had 379 carries, Barkley has 345.]

He took longer than Simpson did to get to 2000 [Simpson had 332 carries], but Simpson also needed more carries to break Jim Brown’s record [Brown had 291-1863 for the season, Simpson had 298-1803 going into the final game].

I don’t get the need to diminish what Barkley has done this season, or what anyone may do in 17 games vs. 16 games vs. 14 games vs. 12 games, but maybe that’s just me.

I considered Higgins and Sutton as my WRs. But I’m worried Higgins will get limited reps due to his injury and I am valuing the QB/WR combo for my best chance at big points, so I chose Thielen over Sutton.

I probably would’ve went with Bucky Irving, but I can’t choose the same as actuaryjr so now I have to hope they sit him for rest. Charbonnet had one big game this season, why not another?

I also couldn’t pick McLaurin because of actuaryjr’s pick. Need to give myself a chance to make up 300 points

… and we are set for Week 18! Good luck, all! :+1:

Good luck you two. Here is hoping it’s decided on the field and not by an injury or sit/start decision.

Commanders playing like they have nothing to play for and Tampa trying to kick their playoff chances is giving IPD some hope at the half of the morning games. I think JR. trio has less than 100 points combined so far.

Daniels out. Oh boy

Ah I thought IPD had a chance, but that TD might have sealed it.
