I am going to both Mets games which start at 5:00, which works out ok for me, not a big issue to get out of work early. Would be perfect for TV watching
The game is starting 30 minutes later and takes at least 30 minutes longer than a regular season game. Why not start the east coast games at 4:30 and the western games at 8? I know the answer is the $f$a$n$ $e$x$p$e$r$i$e$n$c$e$ but is still frustrates me nonetheless.
I was listening to the KC/Yankees on the MLB app, assuming the playoffs would be a national broadcast. The Yankees were down 4-1 with not even a handful of hits and the announcers kept going on about what a great job the Yankees were doing. I finally checked and found out it was actually the local NY broadcast. Still, it was pretty ridiculous. You get announcers rooting here locally, but it’s been a while since I’ve heard a game with that kind of slant. It would drive me nuts.
Smoltz was yapping all night about pitching pitching pitching. None of it was new info.
The new betting info was disturbing. Pete Rose would be interested, I guess. Is it a tribute??
hate the Yankee radio announcers, i listen to random baseball if in a different city, Yankees are the worst
To their credit, the Yankees had a lot of hard hit balls that were well defended, but still this is a common theme they face in the playoffs where they have a lack of depth in the lineup and Judge pretty much disappears.
From ESPN:
Milwaukee Brewers
Founded in 1970, the Brewers have appeared in the World Series just once.
Um, Brewers were founded in 1969 in Seattle, moved to MIL by Bud Selig.
I could swear that as a kid I went to several Pilots games in Chicago. I guess they were all in one year, though. Chicago Public Schools used to give you free tickets to select games if you got straight As or perfect attendance. I’m guessing the select games were mostly against bad/expansion teams and that’s why we saw them so often.
I saw two Pilots games. One in SEA.
wasn’t Danny Kaye one of the original owners?
The first 3 innings of that Padres-Dodgers game was pretty wild yesterday
was also going to mention this was the first time all four playoff series are 1-1.
I was going to predict, most likely all will be 2-1 as well, but that won’t happen
I’m certain all series will be 2-1.
I think you meant all 4 going to 2-2 probably won’t happen.
I think he is pulling your leg.
no, because the NY/Phi will be 3-1 or 2-2, by the time NY/KC is played
Oh, “at the same time.” That is what is missing in your trivia.
Actuaries being actuaries: precise.
Assuming no 18-inning game, though.
Congrats to the Mets, last team to qualify for postseason, first team to secure LCS trip.
