I missed the live broadcast today, and it still isnā€™t available for me to stream (although yesterday is up, so presumably Iā€™ll get it tomorrow). Peacock would have the rebroadcast up just an hour or two after the original event.

Last time the Giro was won by > 2 minutes was Quintana in 2014 (2ā€™58"). Last win by > 3 minutes was Nibali in 2013 (4ā€™43").

I really enjoyed watching the Giro. Thanks to Colonel smoothie for starting the thread.

It was the first one I watched extensively when it was finally available on one of the streaming platforms. Lovely to hear Sean Kellyā€™s accent, the occasional Australian accent, Robbie McEwan and German accent, Jens Voigt. Rob Hatch (the host) has amazing pronunciation and translation skills. I also liked Alberto Contador trying to conduct an interview in English! (couldnā€™t understand a word he said). It was also fun watching Hannah in the helicopter.

Italy is a breathtaking country. Anything with vineyards on hillsides and Iā€™m there. Hopefully Pog can get enough recovery time between now and Le Tour. Could be an amazing four-way race between Tadej, Jonas, Remco and Primoz.

First? So this year you never experienced GCN? You missed out on what was an almost perfect platform. What network are you watching from?

Iā€™m using Flobikes which kinda sucks. Really wish GCN wasnā€™t discontinued.

I was watching it on Max. Le Tour is on Peacock although I wouldnā€™t mind trying a different commentary team if possible (Liggett and Roll get a bit boring sometimes).

Itā€™s Giro time, not making a new thread. Itā€™s on Max, I have Max, so went to watch. Turns out you needs Max Sports. Like Iā€™m going to pay $17 / mo for that.

It sucks. When I watched it last year it was available on regular Max. This year Iā€™m watching the Vuelta feminina on peacock instead.

Looks like it will be back to watching just the Tour and Vuelta again until they can put the Giro on a platform thatā€™s worth shelling out for.
