2024-25 NBA Thread: Oklahoma City claims its 1st title, 4-3 over Indiana

I could not find a league wide spray chart but I found Steph Curry’s and even he shoots plenty of mid range shots.

Not sure if I’ve mentioned here but my suggestion is to widen the court by 10 feet, 5 feet on each side and move the 3pt line out 3 with less of a breakoff on the sides. I’d guess 3pt shooters would adjust to this but it would open up the middle quite a bit more. Currently, guys can sag quite a bit on the offside 3pt shooter and still get out to him to disrupt his shot some which clogs the middle more. Another option would be to get rid of the 3pt shot all together.

I would recommend calling fouls on all of the moving screens and grabbing that enables players to get more separation for 3-pt shots.

Or instead of eliminating the 3pt shot, you could make every shot 3 points…

Every shot is worth its distance from the rim, in ft. Decimals allowed. We’ve got the technology.

DO IT.

Oh my god he needed a 2.57 point shot to win the game but only got 2.53 out that buzzer beater!

EPIC!

Tradeoff is you get 0 for a dunk.
I say make anything in the paint worth 1, then 2 out to the line, then 3 beyond the arc. Would get you a bunch more 12-ft shots that are aren’t worth the effort right now.

Dunks should be worth 0

That’s racist!

Obvious answer is to add style points

Good!

If true this was not only egregious but handled stupidly.

Excerpt for those who can’t access the link:

Kawhi Leonard allegedly received a lucrative, no-work contract from a now-bankrupt environmental company with direct ties to his team, the LA Clippers, and franchise owner Steve Ballmer so that he could be paid more money without it counting against the NBA’s salary rules, according to accusations made by former employees of the firm.

It’s the Clippers. Story checks out.

Should have given him a “job” at a car dealer, like colleges used to do.

This is just stupidity bundled with laziness, if would have put out a few half hearted tweets then this whole mess would not be happening.

But he’s a fun guy.

I assume that is sarcasm as he was totally unsociable in his year with the Raptors. However I forgave that as he delivered a championship.

This current nonsense is unforgivable though.

He was more articulate and engaging than usual in that clip.

And the GM who masterminded this terrible deal is now gone.
