I thought Connecticut shredding San Diego State in the Sweet Sixteen was impressive. Trying to recall the last time I saw someone reel off a 30-0 run against a top-10 team in the nation.

UConn looks to be a team that has a system and culture that can replicate. No games in tourney for 2 years within 10 points. Purdue went 1-7 on 3s. Their average was 8-20. One guy on team had an assist. The defense was like 1984 Gtown and the offense was unselfish

I think if most people had been told Edey would go off for 37 points, they’d figure Purdue had more than a puncher’s chance to win that game, not lose by 15 and it could have been a 20-25 point loss.
Uconn was so balanced. And they HELD Edey to 37. Dude worked his ass off to get that many and had a cold streak or two.
Uconn just stayed steady and issued their usual beat down - against a very solid team.
Someone else had to step up and make some shots for Purdue.
Someone didn’t.
