First and foremost, thank you all for the discussion on CPatterson - I appreciate hearing all your thoughts.
CPatterson is definitely an unusual case this year - I don’t think there’s any other player on the major fantasy football sites that have multiple designations (well, any major player, at any rate - there may be some 4th string player that is highly unlikely to be used in this game).
The reason for this position declaration is due to how I check for repeat players - I need to make the administration of the game as simple as possible for me, and I don’t check for repeated players across positions, and I don’t want to change the process to do so. (So yes, I’m playing the “whatever works easiest for the commissioner” card - I try not to play it too often, but I need to play it here.)
That is why I suggested adding a “factor” to the relevant yards for the two positions. At the very least, it’ll force us players to consider how we want to utilize these “hybrid” players.
Side note: How should passing yards by a WR be counted (if at all)? That NE player last night had a big chunk there . . .
If he needs a position I say RB (reminds me of the way the Eagles used to use Westbrook) but I’m on board with “does it matter, just use him once” and also “whatever makes it easier to run”
I’d like to thank the Las Vegas Raiders for forgetting they were supposed to be playing tonight. I think my remaining hope is for the 2nd half to be called off.
And I think that offically pushes me out, after UA has to use a booster to avoid being bumped.
368 points. Would have been enough in past weeks, not this time. Will be fun to watch the rest of the way, see what I can learn for next year. Like, say, don’t fucking take a TE for your WR thinking he’ll have a big week.
Congrats to Vorian Atreides for holding off MayanActuary’s MNF charge and winning the Week 4 booster!
Meanwhile, at the bottom we have Ultimate Anyone… who fortunately has a booster, which bumps up the score to 364+50=414.
Our new lowest score is now Ted Hoffman, who unfortunately does not have a booster, and thus is our bootee for the week. Thank you for playing, and we hope to see you back next year!
For Week 5 we will be booting ONE player. Good luck to all the survivors!
Yes, I think it was Tebow that was causing the issue - if we’d declared him a TE, then there was a chance you could have 2 starting QBs in one triplet. I believe we declared him a QB and then no one picked him, because there were better options at QB.
RULING: For 2021 Survivor Fantasy Football, CPatterson is a RB.
Note this only applies to this year’s game, and we’ll revisit it next year.
