2021-22 NBA Season Thread

Well Warriors owned the 3rd quarter again, unfortunately the Celts dominated the other 3 quarters.

Those third quarter meltdowns are weird. I guess the Celtics just need to keep the game close after three quarters to win.

That was one of the earliest concessions I have seen with only being down 10-15 points. Sure Green fouled out and Curry was hurt (but playing). Seems even then most coaches don’t concede until under a minute.

I expect they were primarily worried about Curry’s health. It would have taken a miraculous finish for the Warriors to overcome the deficit and Curry would have needed to be on the floor for that to happen. Might as well pull all the starters and live to fight another day.

Warriors have better three point shooting but the Celtics’ athleticism and defence are awesome.

Best of 3 now

Curry’s foot seemed fine. That’s good news for the warriors.

I’ve enjoyed the series as I don’t care which team wins. Just a lot of exciting basketball.

But the illegal screens…geez. Not a fan. Why don’t you just tell me who you want guarding you?

If you told me the Warriors would blow all of a double digit lead in the 3rd Steph would got 0-9 from downtown but the Warriors would win by 10 I’d have asked what the hell are you smoking.

Nice to see Andrew Wiggins step up.

dammit, I was supporting for the celtics but the better team won so I can’t get too upset by that. I wonder if Curry will get 2 more to tie Jordan’s.
Also, I wonder if Lebron will join the Warriors.

Woohoo!

I miss that Steph Curry will never succeed thread on the AO.

Warriors just had too much talent. Steph definitely deserved the MVP.

Wooo! Glad they closed it out in 6. A Game 7 could have gone either way imo.

Watched this.
Meh.
Except for Curry. Love how he’s all, “Oh, you’re gonna guard me at the 3-point line? Let me slip right past you for the easy lay-in.”

Where does GSW rank in the basketball dynasty rankings?

Theses are the teams that won at least 3 titles in a 5 year span. I think the Celts 11, Bulls 6 in 8 years and Showtime Lakers of the 80 are 1, 2, 3 in that order but after that it’s kind of a toss up how you rank them.

5 Min Lakers 1948-1954
11 Bos Celtics 1956-1969 including a run of 8 straight
5 LA Lakers (showtime) 1979-1988
3 BOS Celtics 1980-1986
6 CHI Bulls 1990-1998
4 (or 3) SA Spurs either 1999-2007 or 2002-2007
3 (or 5) LA Lakers either 2000-2002 or 2000-2010
4 GS Warriors 2014-present
