Is this an item you would use to groom yourself?

I was thinking it might be a tooth brush or comb maybe. Not an official question.

That’s what I was thinking. I was thinking brush/comb, but wasn’t sure if it would fit in to Q4, since it’s used to get yourself ready for entertainment purposes.

10 - (Kerfluffles) Is this an item you would use to groom yourself? No

Well I guess it doesn’t matter anymore. Not a grooming item.

Hmmm… Smaller than a bread box, solid, in the house, used daily, but not found in the kitchen.

Speculation:
Alarm clock - nope, usually uses electricity
An article of clothing (shoes in the actuarial spirit)
Cell phone (is that entertainment?) - also electronic
Pillow

Drawing a blank on a question to narrow down the possibilities…

I think article of clothing is probably a reasonable question, but I’ll hold off on burning another official question until someone concurs since I’ve already burned two questions.

Another possibility would be something work-related like a pen or a calculator. Again, not official questions yet, but if another player concurs then ask away.

Does this object stay within the residence under normal circumstances?

I don’t think it’s a calculator because it is used on a daily basis. With article of clothing, shirt and pants are bigger than a bread box (if considered unfolded). Underwear though, that is something typically used daily.

Calculator would use electricity (unless abacus)…

Since Mod is using volume as the default size measurement, I’m assuming (dangerous) that if something could reasonably fit into a breadbox, it would be “smaller” than a breadbox. I’m not sure how something like a golf club would count - it is smaller volume, but wouldn’t fit in a breadbox.

Calculator is used on a daily basis if you’re an actuarial student! And if it’s battery powered then that might be considered not using electricity?

I was just thinking that the inaugural edition might be somehow related to actuaries.

A shirt could be folded to fit in a bread box so I think that counts. I don’t think a golf club would count.

Should we ask if it’s something you wear?

Lets wait to see what the answer is to my last question, if it stays in the house, then that eliminates clothing.

Also, glasses, contacts, or watches are things you would wear, but are different from clothing. So, we need to phrase it precisely.

Good call!

What about a tool like a screwdriver or a wrench?

That normally stays in the house, smaller than a breadbox, no electricity.

Taking suggestions on precise wording though.

No, it’s probably not used daily. Humph!

Not official: toilet paper… that would be grooming, right?
