And I do. Always like to drop the CIA initials when I am discussing actuarial work. SOA and CAS don’t get much of a reaction.

I looked into applying for the NSA when I was in college. Seemed like a very involved process, so I ended up giving it up and found the SOA instead.

A college roommate (electrical? engineering major) of mine worked for the federal government. He couldn’t get any more specific than that. He did call from a sat phone they were testing out once. Said the cost of the call was in the thousands of dollars for the couple of minutes.
