After the first two guesses, there were three possible words. I usually like to pick a word that will guarantee i solve it in two, rather than guessing one of the three. Both have the same expected value for number of future guesses, and you don’t get a lot of 2s and 3s with my strategy. (You also are unlikely to need more than 6 guesses.) I was curious what wordlebot thinks about the situation, so i looked at how it rated my choices.
I guess it thinks they are the same. It gave the same skill rating to my choice and the three possible words, all of which were, of course, common guesses among “other players in your situation”.
