How fortunate. After deciding this would be a good second guess, I decided to check my file of good first guess / second guess (depending on outcome of first guess) combinations, to see if I had previously thought of one which might be better. I had recorded two, and still think both would be good second choices, but I stuck with the new one. And it was right!
