Why does insulin cost as much as it does in the US?

How is this possible? Although imatinib is generally much cheaper in Canada than the US this price is ridiculously lower.

I don’t know how drug pricing works in Canada so I can’t really say. Maybe Mark Cuban shopped hard, or has low overhead?
