What percentage of days to you (or your SO) make the bed

I think you’re on Lucy’s ignore list (kidding, because people need to be told), so I’ll answer: To air it out. Our bed is turned down for several hours before I make it.

To me Turn Down is what you do before sleep, partially, neatly pull down a corner of the made bed to make it easier to get into.

I also don’t understand turn down before making the bed

Turn down for what?

Well, that was different. Um, thanks.

Turning down a bed just means pulling back the covers, exposing the sheets. The most common use of the word seems to be regarding partially unmaking the bed to make it easier to get into. But that’s what we called it when we did pretty much the same thing to let the sheets (and mattress) air out during breakfast.

Never neaten the bed before housekeeping. It can result in them thinking a bed was unused and not changing the sheets, which at best is gross and at worst can get them fired (say, any personal item was accidentally left in the sheets). Throw your blankets and such back on the bed if they’re not, don’t make the bed.
