What are you watching (bingeing) these days?

They have SOOOOO much real world material to work with.

Based on this thread we started Slow Horse, just started season 3. Maybe we’ll be caught up by the time all of S6 is out.

Almost done with Season 3 of “Shrinking.” Character Development has taken on a Soap Opera feel. It’s as if people in The Industry think this is how everyone feels about everything that has happened in their lives. Nearly every character has daddy issues and thinks it’s their own fault. Turns out their dads were/are dicks, and stop letting it fuck your life up.

OK, I think our time is up this week. Practice those techniques, and if you are having trouble, call me so I can ignore you and you go ahead and kill yourself afterward. (Spoiler.)

Also just started Season 3 of Slow Horses. I could totally binge on this show but my wife also watches it and limits our consumption to two episodes a night.

Just noticed that Graham Yost is an executive producer of the show. After the kids were in bed we always watched Saturday Night at the Movies hosted by his dad Elwy Yost on TVOntario, the public news channel. Elwy was the most enthusiastic booster ever of classic movies.

on a plane I started “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” with Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe.

Morgan is funny. Makes me laugh. So many absurd sequences and lines. “Ooh, this is my favorite Skrizi commercial!”

The Audacity
Dark comedy with Silicon Valley tech bros doing their crazy stuff with lots of repercussions for their families and acquaintances. It was really good.

Started Pluribus. Fun concept. Liking it so far. Vince Gilligan writes good stuff.

Something I won’t binge, or even slightly wach:

We are into Season 2 again, as we just got AppleTV for a year (I think) with the new car (weird bundle, but OK).
Ted’s mental issues seem to come from nowhere. Additional story line needed, I guess. I figured his issue with the sports psychologist taking over what he considers his job was enough.

Nate + The World is an interesting relationship, too. He was accepting of his anonymity at first, but once he gets a taste of it, he wants all of it. He’s currently getting upset at Roy getting credit for simply returning. I wonder what will happen next?

It was pointed out to me that they hinted at it in his very first press conference (they use the sound that is later used for his panic attacks and the quick cutting).

Now I gotta go back and watch that.

Yeah, I’ve watched it. He also looks pretty stunned. But it was easy to write all that off as it just being a horribly tough initial press conference that focused on his lack of knowledge and experience with that kind of football.

Got through 3 seasons of Corner gas. Tried Hiccups, Brent Butt’s followup.

Eh. Tries too hard.

Gonna give Dan for Mayor a shot.

new season of Slow Horses

Waiting a few more weeks to get all 6 episodes.

do that. i somehow overlooked it is coming out week by week. now I’m all caught up and …i hate knowing i will wait

Not bingeing as I’ve caught up to week by week for Dark Matter.

Last week’s episode S2E5 (“Love and Be Loved”) was an excellent standalone episode. I rate highly as a standalone, up there with The Last of Us S1E3 (“Long Long Time”), Ted Lasso S2E9 (“Beard After Hours”) and Breaking Bad S3E10 (“Fly”).

East of Eden - have not seen prior versions or read the book. It’s been interesting but what I’m getting out of this is that in addition to being an alcoholic, Steinbeck really hated women.
