Dimension 20 on Youtube (and now on dropout)… is a long running Dungeons and Dragons game, played by excellent improv artists. I recommend it if you like Improv or D&D or are just curious about it. The battles go too long (much like real D&D) but you can skip them. The heart of it is people sitting around a table, having a good time playing pretend, and telling silly jokes.

For reasons, we recently jumped from the first season (set in modern high school) to the last (steampunk) and it’s jarring to see the actors all aged 7 years.

Adding:
The current season “Cloudward Ho!” is more child appropriate than what we were watching before. Fewer F-bombs and weird sex jokes. Our kid is really into D&D, so this is a good thing to watch with her.

What we were watching before:
“Fantasy High” – D&D in a modern public high school – as in wizards and elves and lunch ladies. It’s more vulgar, in large part because the actors are pretending to be teens. I’d not recommend it for little kids. I would still recommend it for adults and teenage kids, because it is funny as hell, as well as more insightful than your typical kid drama.

Fight the Power, a sort of history of hip hop and its effects on the world (well, it’s very US focused), on the PBS Roku channel. It’s really good, would recommend.

I finished the latest season of Only Murders In The Building. It was what you’d expect, although it seemed to bog down a bit near the latter part. The season did have what I think was their funniest part ever - the Celebrities game. And just her look at the end of the Celebrities game was the best acting Selena Gomez has done. The cast of this one I thought was an excellent fit to their parts - Christoph Waltz was as creepy as you’d expect, Renee Zellweger did a great balance between creepy and quirky-Renee Zellweger-like, Tea Leoni was off-beat, etc. I could have done without Meryl Streep, though. I think someone else said it here - she’s a distraction.

I finished the latest season of Only Murders In The Building.

My wife and I enjoyed the earlier seasons but we no longer have the streaming service that shows it. May have to get a limited subscription and binge on this season and the other shows we have been missing.

Yeah, I planned to cancel as soon as I finished Only Murders, but now my wife has started High Potential and doesn’t want me to turn it off yet. I should have canceled at peak pissed-off-ness.
