Wednesday Weekly Weigh-in

Summary

I didn’t bother to save my weight history from the ao before it got canned. I started making an effort to drop some weight in late 2018 when I hit 206. Was between 180-185 for most of 2020. I’d look best around 160, but I am not willing yet to make the concessions on diet and exercise to get there. I like to eat well and I know what it takes to get me to 160. I think 170ish is a good goal for now.

Highest adult weight was 235 and lowest was 160. Both were over 20 years ago. I’m 5’11"

OK OK. I’ve got a private group where I am worried about my beer/alcohol intake and, while it is working, I still don’t have enough willpower nor accountablility to get to where I am supposed to be. So here:

1.) I don’t want to drink 7 days a week
2.) I also don’t want to quit, because it is social for me (homebrewer, runner)
So, for now:
A.) reduce to max two drinks per session
B.) reduce the # of days a week to 3 sessions

And a drink is measured as 1 shot, 5% alcohol for a pint, 6 oz wine

woohoo big milestone

after being on a low sodium diet and being a semi-pescetarian, and also not going to the gym as often, went from 185 to 175.

Oh well.

Two weeks in a row! Thanks! Time for a nice big hot fudge sundae on top of a brownie!!

Downside is that I think I’m losing muscle mass.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

I think my testosterone level is fine.

But I think I’ll go about it the old fashioned way: lifting. I’m not able at the moment, due to private issues. Perhaps in a couple of weeks.

Well, you’ll find out at your TRT appointment if it’s fine. Unless you’ve already gotten get checked recently. Low testosterone doesn’t just affect muscle mass, it can affect your heart, mood, libido, and cause a bunch of other issues.

Lifting is obviously important, but without testosterone lifting could be inefficient.
