Number of foreign countries invaded by the United States under the pretext of enforcing justice, when really it’s all about looting the country’s resources: 1
And it’s only January 3.
Hmmm…I can’t wait to see what Trump has in store for the Semiquincentennial
Probably Semi’s.
I can’t wait to see all the ways he fumbles the word “semiquincentennial”.
Many people are saying it’s really the Trumptennial…
Carolina at 8-9 wins its division on tiebreaks despite losing its last game, and therefore gets to host a 1st-round playoff game against a 12-5 team.
Eh. They could win, as SEA did long time ago.
I have two possible responses. I’ll let you choose.
- Don’t take our Glorious Leader’s name in vain like that.

And Cuba may soon become part of the US. Thousands of Canadians may need to change their winter vacation plans.
“PALM BEACH, Florida, Jan 3 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday indicated that Cuba could become a topic of discussion as part of broader U.S. policy in the region, highlighting the potential for Washington to expand its focus beyond Venezuela amid rising tensions in Latin America.”
The US narrative varies but taking over countries is either because they host narco-terrorists or are needed for security purposes. Canada ticks both boxes according to Trump, Greenland the latter.
“We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One when asked about the issue.
Also won the division in 2014 with a 7-8-1 record. As a Panthers fan, this is my normal.
Number of citizens shot and killed for sport by ICE: 1, which I believe is 1 more than they shot in 2025 only because they weren’t emboldened enough to do it last year.
[The count in this post will be updated as needed.]
Number of citizens shot and killed for sport by ICE: 2
The actual number is most likely higher. Those 2 are the only ones that were caught on video and went viral.
I went looking. If there have been more than the two individuals shot and killed by ICE this year, the additional deaths have not made it into the press.
There have been additional people shot, but not killed, by ICE. And there was one person shot-and-killed at about 10:45pm PST 31 December (California man ringing in the new year with celebratory gunfire; ICE agent claims they thought they were being attacked…)
Can’t wait to see what happens at the next swim meet or track meet.
Also at least 6 people had died in ICE detention already this year. Last year was a record with 30, and we are on pace to shatter that.

40 year old males have about 100 heart attacks per 100k, according to google. If we have 69k in detention, you are going to have more than a handful of sudden deaths from that alone. General mortality would likely predict many more than 30 deaths in that population. Take away accidents, overdoses, suicides and more of that group might actually be alive because of the detentions.
Note: in no way am I saying this justifies ICE detention, just trying to actuasplain that the number alone does not seem to be a concern.
