Using a HSA?

always off pronunciation, not spelling, so AN

But what if you pronounce it “Health Savings Account” when you read it?

Try typing HSA into your Excel finance spreadsheet and watch spellchecker do its magic!

I’m legitimately triggered by this. So much frustration!

You Easterners!!
In So Cal, it’s called a “The Huzzah, yeh-neh?”

Yes, the “The” is needed, and Capitalized.

Definitely this. But maybe I need something new.

And it’s not just Excel, but all Microsoft products that “correct” HSA spelling. Extremely annoying.

then type it that way

If someone said hissa to me, I would have no clue what they were talking about

FSA or fissa?

In the USA I think it’s aitch-ess-ay
In England it’s probably haitch-ess-ay. They make a point of making the h sound. Which is fair enough, because it’s an h.

Yeah I had to put spaces between the letters to maintain my own sanity. After all I’m not putting that money in a HAS account.

I use it as a spending account bc I have a lot of health related expenses. This year i might be using it for out of network therapy. Then I can use the cash I was using for therapy for my no-longer-dependent-but-can’t-afford-the-deductible daughter’s expenses.

I’m hoping that by next year I will be using it as a savings account again though.

I use it as a savings account, but I don’t save our old receipts. I would like to retire early and expect it to help bridge the gap years between full time employment and Medicare.

I Britished that for you.
