That’s gonna be funny, since men’s college soccer is not a stepping stone toward the USMNT, regardless of Title IX or not.
Before Title IX, USMNT was a powerhouse. /s
New coach?
I’d like to have Poch on for at least another two years or so, getting the team ready for another high-level coach. I just don’t see him staying on with a barely-top-16 team.
So, here are 11 others:

These guys are still in denial that they are just not as good as a Top-Ten team:

Ream, though, said the whole team played below its previous standards.
“You mentioned Christian there, but I don’t think anybody had their best game by any stretch,” he added. “It just seemed like everything that could go wrong was going to go wrong that night, which is a shame because we put so much work in to get to that point.”
The underlying assumption is that “their best” would have been good enough to beat BEL. I will respectively disagree.
Oh, and this:
“One of the the secondary conversations that we were having as a group was how can we inspire and get more people to love this game?” Ream said. "How can we get them to fall in love with the game, be passionate about the game, get behind the team, get behind the sport even more? And what is it going to take from us as players to do that?
How about: “more players in the EPL and in other Top Leagues, starting on Top Teams”?
Because, losing in those leagues has consequences. Not in your Beer League.
Thing is, those Teams have to know that the player is good enough to invest in them. So many other choices instead.
I don’t think even that would help. People and most of the cultures are dead set in their ways to prefer other sports offered in this country. Need to get the word out that those sports suck, see if anyone will believe that after deep-seating their cultish beliefs, and all the peer pressure.
True.
If you think this match was unlucky for the US, watch the friendly that happened a couple of months before WC where the US got smoked by Belgium.
I don’t think he is LeBronning this.

It seems to me more of a negotiating tactic for USSF AND clubs to get their acts together and give him more of what he wants.
Sad thing is that the USSF cannot give him better players. It’s up to him to convince US-eligible players to join up. Even that is a false hope: any player good enough to play for a top Country will choose that country. So, the US STILL doesn’t get top players. We can try to poach top players from lesser countries like in Mexico and Central American countries. THOSE are the immigrants we want!
Why are you guys so grumpy?
They watch soccer
He’s my favorite Dwarf. Why you ask?
Sorry to lose Berhalter to Middlesbrough. He was fun to watch and a key piece of the Whitecaps team.
Still a step up.
Will have to quit drinking beer at every corner.
