And now, EPL are trying to keep their players from traveling to Panama on 10/10.
I’d be happy with six points on this break, with two wins at home. Seven is the expected minimum (wins at home, ties on the road). And while it would be nice to come in first and have a high enough ranking to be put into the first drawing pot, just can’t get my hopes high enough with all this traveling and COVID.
Ream and Brooks not making the trip across the pond. Not sure if that is a positive or negative.
Zimmerman has been called up. Should be another call up. Not sure if it will be domestic (Sands, Kessler) or Euro based (Miazga, CCV, Scally). I say we bring in Scally and see what the kid has.
Everybody in camp seems healthy and has passed Covid tests (Musah had a “not conclusive” test earlier, but was cleared after a second test).
Still determining if Steffen and A Robinson are going to Panama. Sounds like not, but Gregg said England might change their quarantine rules in the next couple days for vaccinated players.
There is 1 unvaxed player and 1 partially vaxed player in camp. It sounds like both of them will not be traveling to Panama.
0-0, HT. Like a broken record, we look really good for 2/3rds of the field but suck ass at getting the ball into the box to create anything. Ball handling got suspect in about the last 10 minutes of the half; gotta clean that shit up. Feels like if we keep at this, we’re going to find a goal somewhere.
Also: this referee is crap, even by CONCACAF standards.
Maybe the CONCACAF folks can use one or 2 of those suitcases of money to install cameras and qualify refs in a few countries other than the US and Mexico.
Also agree this ref had blown some calls, mostly for being timid to make potential game altering calls early in a big match
