Some blips on the 1st and 2nd place Democrats in district 7. Looking at this totally-not-gerrymandered district,
Ford is pretty much guaranteed to win now:
On November 29, 2012, Ford was indicted on charges of bank fraud, alleging he provided misleading evidence to obtain a $500,000 extension on a line of credit. The charges state he used the money for personal expenses rather than rehabilitating an owned property, as stated in the loan documentation.[28] On August 4, 2014, all 17 felony counts of bank fraud and false information against Ford were dropped by federal prosecutors in exchange for his pleading guilty to a single misdemeanor income tax charge, and Ford’s trial was removed from the federal docket.[29][30][31]
In 2023 Conyears-Ervin faced an ethics investigation into allegations surrounding abuse of power.[6] Former employees alleged her of requiring staff to perform personal tasks including planning birthday parties, grocery shopping, and forcing BMO Harris Bank to provide a mortgage for her husband, Chicago Alderman Jason Ervin.[7][8]
Anthony Driver will live to fight another day I guess…then again there’s no guarantee the other candidates would turn out to be less corrupt, they tend to just be younger and haven’t racked up a track record yet.
Gregory is Trump’s new state rep and a new hope for Florida Dems
Mar-a-Lardo is now represented by a Democrat. LOL
And another one that will not be running.
The GOP folks are seeing the writing on the wall given the ecomomic situation.
Trump is (again) attempting to control mail ballots via executive order.
2026 is going to be the year we find out if the States have any rights.

Funny. They usually do when the Dems are in power.
But only the red ones.
Every Black Republican member of the House is leaving and not running for re-election. “Every” is doing some heavy lifting, as there are only 4.

Wow, 4 is 2 more than I would’ve expected.
I think it’s probably more accurate to think of this as: non-MAGA folks have abandoned (for now) the Republicans.
Powell has been great… who can have a negative opinion aside Trump??
People who watch FoxNews and all the other sycophantic tRump networks.
I mean, how does tRump even get an “89” from Republicans?
Insistence on ideological purity is a stain on our political way of life. Two tents is not nearly good enough to contain all of the idea diversity that real Americans have. (One-issue voters don’t help any either.)
The two parties are Democrats and MAGA.
They clearly don’t represent every one but they are the two choices we have right now unless the system changes.
Early voting looks to have swung more heavily towards Democrats in the Atlanta suburbs. Could also be Republicans waiting for election day after Trump’s rants about early voting.
With Massie, I get it. He is an old school conservative that didn’t grovel enough before Dear Leader so he has to go. The Paxton endorsement in Texas is nuts to me though. Cornyn did suck up to Dear Leader, but apparently not enough. If Paxton wins the GOP runoff it will probably be the most expensive Senate race in history there, and Republicans could lose. That guy is corrupt and unpopular, which is probably why Trump loves him.
This is correct. The more corruption there is in the government, the more it normalizes his own actions.
The News has abdicated its responsibility by saying Trump is “breaking norms” instead of reporting on outright corruption.
Of course if they do report on out right corruption, they get the corrupt DOJ investigating them over the reporting.
