I’m interested in seeing what happens with this. It seemed like he was doing a lot of the work pushing Trump’s agenda in the senate. With Graham and McConnell gone, seems like it will look a lot different.

Guessing the Dem’s don’t have a viable candidate for the SC Senate seat. Another MAGA will likely win, cuz libs cry when it happens.
Agree that SC will vote for MAGA or die, but the Dem candidate is a pediatrician. I’m sure she would do a perfectly acceptable job as a senator.
The Democratic candidate in SC was viable b/c people hate Graham, I assume she will lose handily to a random R. Although Nancy Mace is throwing her hat into the ring, so who knows.
So just to make sure, do the people who hated him generally do so because he’s just not a progressive like them? Or is it because he flip-flopped on hating then loving the Donald? Or did he do (or not do) something else more specific that was hated?
I’m going with the flip flop, and generally choosing Fox News over country.
There are tons of conservative politicians who are not hated, or at least were pre-MAGA. Graham was one of the more vocal anti-Trump people, who recognized that Trump is not conservative by any definition from the majority of my lifetime, and then became arguably Trump’s staunchest defender. Graham said “We are fucked” about the evidence for the first impeachment and then led the efforts to ensure that there were no witnesses and the evidence couldn’t be aired. Graham played on his phone during 1/6 hearings instead of watching body cam footage of what happened, was rude to the families of the officers, and denied that Trump bore any responsibility for what happened.
