From a military standpoint, they can enforce a “no fly zone” but that requires international agreement.
Closing their airspace is crazy talk given that Latin American countries do have flights in/out of Venezuela.
Maduro is definitely getting more paranoid now (probably thinks Trump is going to try to assasinate him) as he has started only going out into large groups of people (too much collateral damage) and has blocked flights from European countries.
Why does he think Trump cares about collateral damage?
Is the primary issue enforcing a no-fly zone or declaring a no-fly zone?
I don’t see Trump dropping a guided bomb on a group of 1000+ people that have been forced to be at a Maduro speech. Also, thats an order that I could see the military refusing.
Trump likes declaring things on social media. Those type of declarations I consider to be chaotic leakage from conversations Trump may have had during the day (with his advisors) and because he has no logical filter…they come out all distorted.
Trump floated dividends ahead of next year’s tax season and predicted that Americans may not have to pay an income tax in the future.
“Next year is projected to be the largest tax refund season ever, and we’re going to be giving refunds out of the tariffs because we’ve taken in literally trillions of dollars. And we’re going to be giving a nice dividend to the people in addition to reducing debt,” Trump said.
“Additionally we’re going to be able to reduce debt and as time goes by over the next two, three, four, years and I believe that at some point in the not too distant future, you won’t have income tax to pay. Because the money we’re taking in is so great, it’s so enormous, that you’re not going to have income tax to pay,” he continued.
I feel like voters may feel a bit bitter/misled if that doesn’t happen before the next presidential election.

I feel like voters are too f’ing stupid to realize they’re being misled.
Something I’ve been saying for, what, probably 16 years now and each time I say it I mean it just a little more: I can’t believe how much I’ve overestimated the American people.
