I think DTNF was referring to what Jasper posted, not what tRump had said.
I see that now. I had assumed that there was something embedded in you-know-who’s rant that I had missed because of the migraine that triggers if I encounter more than a couple of sentences in his speech or writing.
Mea culpa.
Nope, although I hated him too.
Benedict was too cozy with rad-trads.
Francis was too much like the church of the 60s/70s, too focused on earthly political/social issues and not focused enough on the actual faith. (Although I did appreciate that one of his reforms made my annulment process from Jaspess I easier. Plus he trolled rad-trads heavily, which I did appreciate.)
Fortunately, most Americans don’t care what foreigners think about us. Trump has so degraded America in the eyes of our allies that we might otherwise be disheartened.
Lest you think it’s the onion, it’s not. Oh, and from the article:
The impromptu press event played out just after noon as the press pool was ushered to the front door of the White House to watch the president of the United States grin and receive two large bags of McDonalds from a delivery driver who then turned to reporters and praised the GOP tax plan’s end of taxes on tipped wages in 2025.
Getting door dashed McDonald’s is a sign of insanity. Cold McDonalds burgers = ![]()
Getting bigger tax refunds this year is more important to most voters. The fact that Trump is creating a future $2 trillion federal deficit while reducing taxes doesn’t bother these voters.
Sure…
If he actually thought the image was that of a doctor (I don’t remotely think he does), then he isn’t mentally competent and should be removed via the 25th amendment.
But he seems to be losing more supporters over this than he would for shooting someone on 5th avenue.
Side note: All of the people depicted in Trump as Jesus image are white. Just saying.
This. Everybody just assumes everything will keep working because for the most part, it has for them, and they have no clue of all the interdependencies in the system they want to break.
Of course! It needed to be biblically accurate. /s
I was going to say that the White House has a world-class chef and staff, but when I looked into it, the last chef of 3 decades retired just before Trump’s second term. The current head hasn’t been named Executive Chef, but has been Acting Executive Chef since then.
So you noticed this?
I’m not Catholic but definitely appreciated Pope Francis living out his faith in action in the world.
If we can at least be consistent in point out the inflationary aspects of this just like we did with Biden/COVID/infrastructure I will call it a win.
Seems like there should be a winning campaign message that could be translated into. Americans hate inflation almost as much as they hate taxes (maybe more at this point).
I wonder how the Senate confirmation process will play out for the Hamburgler once he’s nominated as Executive Chef.
The more unstable he gets the more I am reminded of:

I mean, they’ll just love it. This is what they want from him.
They love that he “says inappropriate things sometimes, but”… but something or other.
Whether bragging about rape, accusing an innocent of murder, threatening genocide, or pretending to be Jesus while getting fake doordash McDonalds. It’s all great examples of saying something inappropriate sometimes.
In fairness, I can’t really name someone in my life who I’d consider both “Christian” and “MAGA”.
“Christian Nationalist” and MAGA, plenty of.
