The whales that windmills drive crazy.
uhm. Gulf of Mexico?
You made me do a quick Google out of curiosity. Wondered if any more traditionally-friendly or dependent countries were using Gulf of America.
Nope. We’re just special about it, and nobody else cares ![]()
From the NYT:
Mr. Trump quickly assailed the organization that sued over the project, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, calling it “a Radical Left Group of Lunatics” on social media.
I have a relative who makes a modest living as an Architectural Historian. If Trump decides that he doesn’t like the people who try to preserve historic buildings, he can ruin her business in a few minutes.
This seems to be one of his goto buzz phrases for anyone who disagrees with him…on anything.
President Donald Trump expects that United States military forces will leave Iran in “two or three weeks.”
Oh, man, we know what happens when he “promises” something in two weeks.
Having a concept of a plan would be generous given what has happened with Iran so far.
No intelligence was used in the attack on Iran.
The stock market goes up?
Trump’s remarks followed a discussion with Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought, during which the president said, ‘Don’t send any money for daycare because the United States can’t take care of daycare.’
He continued, 'We’re fighting wars. We can’t take care of daycare. You got to let a state take care of daycare and they should pay for it, too. They should pay. They’ll have to raise their taxes, but they should pay for it. And we could lower our taxes a little bit to them to make up.
‘We have to take care of one thing: military protection. We have to guard the country. But all these little things, all these little scams that have taken place, you have to let states take care of them,’ Trump added.
Of course this would be after a discussion with Vought. I expect this is in Project 2025 somewhere. To me, it is a standard “small government” plank.
Before Trump came along, I would have generally agreed that direct subsidies should be a state and local expense. OTOH, I’m fine with an FIT deduction.
Trump saying he can’t afford it because he’s having so much fun starting wars and blowing stuff up is really disgusting.
Trump: “Davy Crockett, obviously a distant relative of Jasmine Crockett, and a very High IQ Frontiersman, would be proud of the legacy that he began long ago, and especially Jasmine’s Great Success as a Politician from the Great State of Texas! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
This seems nuts even by Dementia Don’s standards. The truth social post also has a clip from the old Disney show.
Not going out on a limb to guess these two Crocketts are not related…
Embarrassed that I had a Davy Crockett coonskin hat in the 1950s. Trump probably had one as well.
This is what happens when you use old movies to make policy instead of facts
Brother Maynard consult the book of armaments.
Is this where a bunch of senators and representatives make a video reminding military officers that explicitly targeting civilian utilities is a war crime, and that officers can be held criminally liable for following/issuing such orders?
(In fairness, utilities supporting military installations are fair game under the law of war, even when those utilities also serve civilians.)
Sounds like Trump is going in for a routine annual Easter Dr. visit. Maybe we’ll all have a Happy Easter.
