Almost a certainty that Trump will push to open up ANWR for drilling again, like he tried to do earlier. Lots of kickbacks are available for whoever lets big oil get access there. ---

Maybe he will leave the ANWR alone after Canada becomes the 51st state. Our known oil reserves in the Athabasca tar sands are in excess of 170 billion barrels so that should buy some time. I assume the tar sands is Trump’s main interest in a Canada acquisition. ---

I think Trump is becoming even more extreme vs his 1st term. Its analogus to when people on social media go to even more extreme lengths to garner attention for clicks. This is problematic because it will leave the US increasingly isolated in global terms. At that point, the existing global order will start fragmenting and re-aligning itself. This will drive a lot of crappy behavior from the multitude of bad actors (globally-speaking) that we now have running around the world. ---
