5 will get you 10, Ginnie Thomas is on that list. But fear not, Sir Clarence will save the day.

Lol, him talking about descending the escalator reminded me of his purported fear of stairs, which I Googled to make sure I remembered correctly and found this:

Working on the second floor of the West Wing allowed aides to avoid dealing with President Donald Trump because he never walked up the stairs to get to the upper floor, a forthcoming book by author Michael Wolff said.

Wolff wrote that working out of the second-floor office, as Trump advisors Kellyanne Conway and Stephen Miller opted to do, ā€œmeant a degree of exclusion but also protectionā€ because ā€œTrump would never climb the stairs (and, by the end of his term, he never had).ā€

He’s not much better on ramps.

I wonder if he’s afraid of looking weak from when he gets winded walking up stairs, so doesn’t.

They should have installed a gold-plated escalator.

He climbs stairs to get into airplanes all the time, doesn’t he?

Then again, there aren’t really other options if he wants to get into the plane.

tl;dr: Government wanted to seat a jury this December. Trump’s lawyers wanted no calendar to be set, or to at least wait until after the election. Judge set May as the compromise date, recognizng the defense has a :poop:load of discovery material to sort through. Stuff could happen (including probable slow-walking by Trump’s team) to push the trial back further.

Yeah, I was thinking she’d not want to immediately defer the date until after the election because she’d look like a political hack. So she’d pick a date kind of close to the election and trust for there to be another reason for deferral later that would do the deed.

It’s worth mentioning that roughly half the delegates to the GOP convention will be selected by mid-March, which I imagine is around the time that the defense would really push for needing more time to review discovery, etc. The odds of Trump’s getting the nomination will be much clearer by then.

Jack Smith filed a superseding indictment in the documents case. A new defendant was added, and a new allegation that Trump and 2 employees tried to delete surveillance footage

Charges in the Georgia case are expected to come this month…and it looks like Trump will finally get a real mug shot to use in his fundraising materials.

Here’s a copy of the indictment:

Watching the story now. Trump’s campaign is calling it a political persecution reminiscent of 1930s Germany.

Um, no.

My assumption is co-conspirator #1 = Giuliani, #2 = Eastman, #3 = Powell. Not watching any coverage, apologies if people with actual information know otherwise.

Going to be difficult to schedule this given all of Trump’s other indictments.

Heh, yeah.

Manhattan DA will yield his trial dates to federal trials.

Jeffery Clark may be one of them.

Reading that article I got lost in all the state level names questioned, subpoenaed, or searched. I love how thorough this is. I don’t fear Trump getting elected fairly but the threat of state level shenanigans by the GOP to twist the results is/was a concern. Hopefully this puts a damper on some of the future threats.
