I’ve been seeing conspiracy theories that the libs are sabotaging planes to make Trump look bad. Of course, Trump directly Executive Ordered you that it was due to illegal actions by Obama and Biden.

At least 85 people have died in four major U.S. aviation disasters in 2025.
They are:
- Jan. 29 (Washington, D.C.) - An American Airlines regional jet carrying 64 people and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter carrying three people collided near Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. after the plane departed from Wichita, Kansas. A total 67 people were killed.
- Jan. 31 (Philadelphia) - A small medical jet carrying a child patient crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood. Seven people died, including all six onboard the plane and another in a car on the ground.
- Feb. 6 (Alaska) - A small plane carrying 10 people crashed in Alaska after losing speed and altitude and going missing from the radar. The Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, heading from the village of Unalakleet to the town of Nome, was later recovered and all 10 victims died, the Alaska Department of Public Safety confirmed.
- Feb. 10 (Arizona) - Two private jets collided at the Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, killing one person and injuring four others.

This is an easy win-win for Trump. If it is repealed then he looks like a middle class warrior, if congestion pricing is sustained then he can blame the Democrats for the tax (and for blocking “progress”).

35 days without a measles death:
No major airplane crashes so far this week, but there were apparently two close calls at Reagan and Midway on Tuesday.
One HYOOGE avoidance at Chicago Midway with Southwest. That was chilling to watch. Seems like we missed the conversation of the SW 2504 before were told to pull up to 3000’. WHEW!
In 2022 and 2023, there were about 1,250 crashes of civilian aircraft in the US (1,277 in 2022, 1,216 in 2023). It’s not clear that this year is unusual or if people are just paying more attention because of the Washington crash (that seems to have been caused by pilot error, not anything ATC related).
It’s definitely unusual in the deadliness of commercial aircraft accidents. We haven’t had a single incident more deadly since 9/11/2001, and you have to cumulate 2024 back through 2009 to exceed the death count of 2025.
