The Kids Thread

We took the little one to see Wicked in London (at the Apollo Victoria Theater).

Very enjoyable. It was my 1st time seeing this production (wife had seen it before but 20Y ago). The little on was fascinated by the story.

your daughter at 6 is already more worldly than I am at my age lol.

Truth. I’m about to put my two on a plane for just the 2nd time.

Took the family to Oxford for a visit.

Staying at the Randolph (5* hotel) and our little one has declared the food is terrible (loudly)…in their drawing room.

My wife got a bit embarrased.

Kids can be a handful around this age (6). The waiters had a good laugh about it.

I miss the out of the mouth of babes thread like the old AO…

You don’t need to add the parenthetical, we wouldn’t dare assume anything less from you!

The food probably WAS legit terrible to a young kid.

Kid would probably love a best western (3*) with the free breakfast.

three 7-yrolds at the sandwich shop at lunch asked if I was a grandpa. bc of the hair color. then they guessed my age. 78 was the first number out of the gate. the decrements were one by one! my colleague is 1 yr older than me (darker hair) was howling. it was funny

My 7 year old won’t eat ANY kind of mac-and-cheese that isn’t the microwavable powdered cheese version, despite insisting she’ll try it on every menu she encounters. I’ve failed as both a parent and a southerner.

None of my kids would at that age.

We would be in a restaurant and ask if their M&C was the fresh made creamy kind or the crappy box mix. If they answered the good kind, we would say, “No Thanks they won’t eat it” and most likely order chicken fingers

My kid only likes only the box kind. Won’t eat homemade or the microwave cups.

I often find restaurant m&c to be pretty bland tbh. Kraft boxed non-microwaved is where it’s at. Or the velveeta shells stuff.

OG Kraft is my favorite, but the kid prefers Annie’s white cheddar shells.

If it’s not baked a la Church pot luck, it is subpar at best. Fight me.

Meanwhile my granddaugher’s favourite word is ‘roni’, and she’d only ever eat some variation of macaroni if she could.
