Vegas definitely had to clean up as nobody really would back the world #1 to win. Outside of Tiger, Rahm fell way short and never contended, JT got way behind and never really sniffed the lead, Spieth was no good, Rory showed up Sunday but was never close and DJ hung around but didn’t have a shot. Good to see that the 2 best guys this year were in last group.
Tiger will never contend at Augusta again as the course elevations are too demanding for his body over 4 rounds. That said, St. Andrews is short and flat and about the easiest walk in all of golf. It is the closest thing to your local beat Muni track in anytown USA and I say that with all reverence I can muster after being in awe playing it 3 times. If he is EVER going to contend in a major again, this is best spot.
