Has also changed the meaning of conservative. It seems in America, they choose the meaning of words and we have to live with it. Acceptable “reality” and language is only what they say it is.
One of the more annoying ones to me is that white Christian nationalists that like to smoke pot identify as “Libertarian”. Facism sounds great to them as long as they can have a little weed.

I wonder if bail is technically required so they tried to give essentially $0, or if the judge was elevating the point that this trial shouldn’t be.
The article mentions that the defendant has two other charges against her, and that bail was assessed for those two charges individually. I assume, but don’t actually know, that under the circumstances zero/own recognizance wasn’t an option available to the judge for this particular charge.

This seems quite relevant, and honestly a bit horrific if true.
I don’t think this is the flex he thinks it is.
