… cash now?

Well, should have cashed out a couple weeks ago. Micron went from 1200->900.

I bought in at 898. Interesting that compared to other memory companies it has a relatively low P/E ratio.

According to Google their P/E ratio is 23, while Western Digital is 35, Sandisk is 65, Broadcom is 67, Marvell is 85 and AMD is 183.

trailing vs forward PE, and will depend on the analyst estimate for the forward. There is a large gap between then now as they have seen massive earnings only for the last quarter or two.

Micron’s 1-year forward should be solid, they claim to have sold out next year’s production already.

Michael Burry has shorted the semiconductor ETF -

I’m wondering if he’s falling into the trap that many seem to do where he’s treating everyone in a category as being uniform.

I’m sure there are investors who see limitless growth of AI and memory chips. However there are other investors who would like to see less investment in hyperscalers. I suspect there are other investors who suspect big tech is going to throw a lot of money into hyperscalers before things blow up in a year or two when resource limitations and lack of gains turns out to be an issue. I bet others suspect it will happen sooner.

According to this (https://youtu.be/nzh3ltTkBFA?si=MHcQoBmQ7OQkXGlH) there’s a lot of conflict of interest in the SpaceX IPO. Analysts were posting price targets anywhere from 200 - 800, which would be multiples of several hundreds of revenue, not even earnings. The suspicion is that they’re artificially inflating their targets in order to get SpaceX to include them in future deals. Talk about a grift.

I am very cynical about the whole investment industry so this doesn’t surprise me.

SK folks are the worst investment degenerates that I have ever seen. So many are getting wiped out due to margin calls now.
