Nice sack!
Nice catch!
I’ll watch a little later so I’ll back off this thread for about 4 hours.
That is one way. I think the team should receive, go no-huddle on the first set, confuse the opponent’s defense. Meanwhile, your own defense team is rested.
If the other team goes 3-and-out, go no-huddle again. Your own defense barely worked out there to get the stop.
After halftime, your defense is rested for 20 minutes or whatever they get at halftime.
Wind and sun affect these decisions, though. Coach has to seems smrt about this or will get asked questions later.
I’m slightly behind but ugly fumble.
That was nice drive
Just joined. Greeted by some nice defending.
And an awesome catch by DK
Jason Myers had a missed 62 yard FG attempt to close out the first half. His career long is 61, so it was conceivable, but didn’t happen.
Not getting that first 2PC was BS. We should be down 6, not 8. Oh well. Now we have to beat the Lions AND the officials.
Started at 730 my time, caught up just now. 55 minutes total.
A lot iof crap defense both sides
Yep, I was worried that last week was not representative of the offense that Seattle’s defense would be facing today. That wasn’t quite a basketball score but it was shading in that direction at one point.
I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad that this turned out to not be the difference-maker.
Playing with a 7 point lead reduces some of the burden on the D . . . so they can be more creative in their play calling.
Playing with a 7 point deficit often reduces your playbook a bit as it puts more pressure to match the TD with another one.
Payton Manning did this quite a bit during home games when he was with Denver. You just have to be sure that your own players are up to that pace as well.
I recall the commentators saying precisely this, and that they didn’t want to be down 7 points on their opening drive.
Thought both offenses played well, Lions were just better. They didn’t have an incomplete pass the whole game. Incredible. Hawks had a couple of bad calls go against them toward the end, but probably only would have made it a one-score loss instead.
Correct. Even if you throw in the missed FG they still would have lost. (And 62 yards is a tall order; I certainly don’t hold that against anyone although it would have been amazing if he’d made it.)
But I do like to see games called fairly. In this day & age of replay… get it right.
Detroit at home is not a bad loss. It was a consensus pick in the full season game. Goff is under-rated, they have 2 good backs and a great WR. It’s not ideal to have to go there in Jan, but 500 yards is a strong performance.
Yeah, it was an expected loss. Time to move on to hosting the Giants next week at home. Would have grabbed Whiskey’s tickets for that one except other stuff is going on.
Anyone watching?
Seahawks (Reyshawn Jenkins) recovered a fumble in their own end zone and returned it for a 101 yard touchdown… the longest in franchise history!!!
Wasn’t it a fumble return, not an interception?
