Seahawks Are Still For Real This Time

They had to beat the 49ers last night to be for real. They did that emphatically even though they missed two FGs, etc. Just need to avoid turnovers.

This didn’t age well.

Neither did your sarcasm detector, apparently

After the first half of the GB-CHI game, I figured you would be going to the game!

I will miss the Hawks game next week but will be back in the country in time for the Conference Finals. Hopefully Hawks will beat their Division rival next week.

We actually decided earlier this week we would attend the game regardless, due to all the ADA seats accommodations I have to go through.

So, we will be at the game, though my wife will be definitely less excited for it than she would have been if it was GB vs. SEA.

Relevant to my interest: my spouse has a degenerative neuromuscular condition, although not quite to that point yet. (We switched Kraken half-season ticket seat location for fewer stairs.) I’m curious as to the process, if you don’t mind sharing via PM (keep the thread on topic).

Wow… that’s some AMAZING weather!!!

Looking forward to seeing the highlights of this game. The week’s rest suited the Hawks. No rust.

The game winning score was on the 1st play of the game.

That is an ass whooping.

I’m not a big Tom Brady as an announcer fan, but he called the first play, right after it happened, as a game changer.

Opening kickoff must have been so demoralizing for the 49ers. Shaheed was such a great pickup for the Hawks. I can’t imagine any team giving him return opportunities going forward.

Hawks played fabulously in all aspects of the game but the 49ers were pretty beat up. Bears or Rams should be much tougher opponents. Weather not looking good for next Sunday so that may be a factor.

I stopped watching after the 49ers lost the backup TE and McCaffery came up with a bad shoulder. Just in case not having 2 starting D-line, any starting LBs, 1 starting CB, WR1, and TE 1 wasn’t enough.

I’d have liked to see the healthy roster go at it. That would have have been a good competitive game.

Lol

You sound just like Lenoir.

Amazing to blame a complete beatdown like that on injuries.

Did those injuries cause the losing score, too?

It was a bit annoying that the refs picked up the flag on that kickoff return.

Pineiro should have been hit with a 15 yard penalty for his bullshit attempted slide tackle. He clearly contacted Shaheed’s foot.

Edit: I see that they did enforce the penalty. In the stadium it sounded like they said there was no penalty on the play.

Um… Yes.

If the 49ers defense had been able to generate pressure and get off the field the game would have been completely different. At the VERY least it would have been competitive. I’m not saying they would absolutely have won. The Hawks defense is too good to say that. But there is no way it would have been anything like the beatdown we saw.

With no WR1 and Kittle out the Hawks D could key on McCaffery and single cover everyone else paying almost no price. Hell, Tonges was hurting them some before he got hurt.
