Yes, exaggerating a bit. Like the examples you gave, some justices have accepted goods and services worth hundreds of thousands from people with matters before the court. It was just coincidental that they found in favor of their buddies.

This is an odd one. Seems undisputed that the Post office would not deliver mail to this landlord and their tenants for a couple of years. Landlord went to great lengths to try to get it. They allege that refusing to deliver was due to racism.

The landlord eventually sued, as pursuing other avenues to get their mail were unsuccessful. Majority says you can’t sue. Post office can just not deliver your mail, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
