What is this current Republican obsession with other countries not saying thank you enough? \*\*Moments before sitting down for a meeting with a Canadian delegation in Washington, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick appeared for an interview on Fox News. He made similar claims to his previous appearances, accusing Canada of being “not respectful” and “not thankful” for its economic relationship with the United States.\*\* ---

Playing to the US domestic crowd. I am afraid that the country now has a material slice of people who see Canada the same way as a self-proclaimed Lord sees a less powerful serf. Thats the way the US media has conditioned them to see things. The EU gets a different reaction because of its size. EU is an _enemy_ that was created to _screw the US_. If all of this sounds ridiculous, its because it is. The US Govt is now serving the needs of an orange man child that communicates at the level of a 10-year old. I don’t see the US surviving this one with any real friends after the next four years. Its bound to get much worse. ---

Nah, my state isn’t nearly so red as Texas and we’ve also had localities taken over by MAGA trying to ban kids pooping in litter boxes. And shutting down the libraries while they were at it. ---
