Also cheated, I got the ‘per second’ part and tried every possible unit I could think of but I was limiting myself to physics-type stuff. I did try electricity and electric but not electronics, that MIGHT have given me enough direction, maybe not.

Was getting nowhere. Finally went after the initials and got GIs, and my next guess was soldier. Burned a lot of guesses on the individual letters.
