Thanks for all the posts. I was already thinking getting the old model fixed was a waste of time, and it seems everyone believes that too.
I may go black and white laser this time. Having scanning capability would be a small positive, but that’s not very important as taking a picture of a document with a phone is generally sufficient when the rare circumstance comes up where that is handy.
