i got a call from a restricted number last night. so i answered in case it was something important (like someone was in jail or whatever). nope - political survey. I answered it.

some of the wording of the phrasing made it clear it was from the Republican party. (like here’s 3 episodes of big time fraud - which angers you the most a,b,c, or none. I said “ALL OF THEM EQUALLY”. Some other thing of garbage and asked if it changed my opinion having heard that statement and I said “no, that’s nonsense and untrue. like if hearing “Sunday is the day between wednesday and thursday” doesn’t change my opinion of anything.”

and I called 3 people the C-word to identify my opinion of them. (one woman, then trump and mike lindel.) even said that if my own mother was running under that party, she would earn that label too.

Carney gave Trump something, but, less than it would seem

This is an acceptable deal for Canada if it is what the US agreed to. It is not the “great deal for the US” that Trump is trumpeting but Carney is smart enough to let Trump think he got a great deal.

It sounds like Carney may have been incorrect in his statement regarding the bridge deal.

The new revenue-sharing model over the Gordie Howe International Bridge will see Canada repay its debt, but only after net revenue is split with the United States over the first 15 years, a senior government source confirmed to the Star.

The statement came after days of confusion and ambiguity caused by Prime Minister Mark Carney’s remarks after he announced that Canada had reached a deal with the U.S. to open the Gordie Howe Bridge on July 27.

The money the Canadian government is sharing with the U.S. represents the “net revenue” generated by bridge activity after operating costs have been paid, said the federal source, who is not authorized to speak publicly on the issue.

Half of that net revenue will be directed to a local economic development fund supporting the corridor and the surrounding community on the U.S. side, while Canada will retain the remaining half.
