Why not both?

TIL. I was not aware most eggs sold are not fertilised.

It definitely would have worked with Biden, but the folks who set up the seating chart didn’t oblige.

And besides that…Biden’s not exactly relevant anymore.

As I have said in other threads, The Onion articles are becoming more believable as it is hard to come up with material more extreme than reality.

They keep the hens penned up with nary a rooster in sight. I mean, obviously they breed enough to replace the aging hens, but the breeding happens in a totally different location.

I imagine that any non-fertilized eggs from the breeders go to market just like the eggs from the other hens. So possibly they misidentify an egg as unfertilized when it is actually fertilized and sell it but in this day & age that would be rare.

And after it’s been in the fridge for a few hours or certainly a day, the chicken zygote is dead. So even if you get a fertilized egg it was never going to hatch into a chicken.

I recall noticing that I had a fertilized egg maybe 20 years ago or so, so it can happen, but again, that zygote was dead long before it hit my fridge. They need to be kept at around 100 degrees… not 35 degrees like most commercial refrigerators.

Lol. No need to tell Americans that PP = Pierre Poilievre. Because they don’t care at all.

But in 8 days, Canada officially becomes part of the axis of evil!

Well maybe a couple of us do.

I was at a friends house yesterday who keeps 7 hens and a rooster. We took home a couple of eggs. It’s certainly possible that one could be fertilized. But it makes no difference to me.

But store bought eggs are certainly all unfertilized.
