Phones are a status symbol?

I didn’t get any snarkiness from your post. :slightly_smiling_face:

It may have been even more than 5 years ago, I’m not sure. I only remember thinking at the time that it was a really great change because companies had been taking advantage of customers under the prior set up.

Yeah, I think the most recent phone I bought did not work that way. But I have definitely seen it work as I described.

So if there was a law that prohibited that sort of thing that passed after I bought my penultimate phone but before I bought my current phone then that fits perfectly with my personal experience… but I didn’t realize that such a law had passed.

This is how I always remember your voice.

Just checked the website. 25/30 payments complete @ $20. 5 more remaining. $20 x 30 = $600, retail price of the phone at the time at AT&T.

I had a similar situation with my old phone and the payment did indeed stop after the agreed number of months were up.

i’ve seen guys show off their keys on the table/counter, usually with the prominent BMW key fob

BMW? Pffft. I sit down and flop my yacht keys on the table.

Because they didn’t use the valet? Cheapo’s.

But then I need cash for the tip, what is this the 20th century!?

Cash? What’s that? Is that a new app like Venmo or Paypal?
