I have seen her triggered multiple times on here.
I don’t personally care, but she has definitely gone off on people.
Occasionally calling out people who are being obnoxious <> being easily triggered. You respond poorly to criticism, is that being easily triggered?

Common error that people make is to attribute this quote to Steinbeck.
Which is precisely why NerdAlert decided to lose her marbles over it.

You didn’t WHAT? It looks to me that you put the part quote into the thread. And (even if we can agree that the xxx xxx xxx was not implied to be part of the quote, which I would agree), if the bolded words you used are not part of the original quote, didn’t you use an inaccurate quote?
Yep. Thats why they are important. It creates an incredible conflict of interest when you have a small slice of individuals deciding who is worthy of money or not.
On the other side…we have the latest effective altruism shtick that is currently making the rounds.
I said xxxxx xxxx xxx because the entire quote is much longer and I was only interested in the 2nd part (because that 2nd part is the one cogent to this discussion).
The quote came out of nowhere and needed more of it (like with the image you later posted) to make relevance clear.
