How does a police report about hunting what appear to be wild geese turn into “They’re stealing and eating your pets!! Your cats!!”??
And why is about 50% of our population gullible enough to believe it?

No idea if it’s true or not, internet being the internet, but I saw a video earlier that purported to be a neo-Nazi in Springfield spreading the rumor back in August and claiming that it eventually took off from there.
It’s an old trope, my wife remembers hearing similar stories as kid growing up.
my dad (born in 1933) knew a whole song.
Thought for sure this would be a CS thread.

Well, if you live in Springfield and you see somebody selling foie gras roadside for a price that seems too good to be true, be suspicious.

2 more elementary schools in Springfield, OH were evacuated today due to bomb threats. And a middle school just didn’t bother opening at all today.
Some stupid mf-a running for President said today that his mass deportation plan will start in Springfield OH, and he’ll send them all back to Venezuela. Ignoring the fact that the immigrants to Springfield are legal and Haitian.

I think they’re more scared about having to enter the ugly sweater contest.
My bet is that someone got their hands on a few extra cadavar cats from an anatomy class and put them on a grill to try and make a viral video, which is why they show the two live cats walking around the grill. I am not seeing anything to suggest the grill is actually on or hot.
Also, the plastic bags in the grass look like the ones they were probably shipped in.
