Closing Ceremonies
Now that the finalists have seen the results, it’s time for the closing ceremonies.
First of all, congratulations once again to our champion, soyleche!
soyleche put on a performance for the ages, winning 8 straight games in the Final Four on the way to winning a second RPS Title, becoming the first repeat winner ever of the RPS tournament! That’s right - in 21 years of this tournament we’ve had (presumably) 21 different winners! 
(I gotta admit, I really thought TedHoffman was gonna pull it out somehow, given that we’d never had a repeat winner… but soyleche had bigger plans.)
soyleche, may you enjoy all the rights, responsibilities, and privileges therein that come with being an RPS Champion (and look for a new GoActuary badge as well!). Let’s give a round of applause one more time for soyleche:

Speaking of TedHoffman, let’s also recognize the other members of the Final Four, whose names will be remembered next year as the title of the four regions. So a “Well done!” to TedHoffman, SteveGrondin, and skysn93! 
And finally, as always this tournament would not exist if it weren’t for all the players who played in the RPS tournament this year, as well as the all the spectators/cheerleaders/hecklers. I never thought that when this started that we’d still be playing over 20 years later, even moving to various platforms. It’s might seem like a small little diversion, but it’s one that’s really grown on me, and I look forward to it each March. So in short, thank you all for keeping a fun little tradition alive!
… and with that, I declare the 2025 RPS tournament complete! Good luck training over the next 11 months, and we’ll all get together again next March!
