Burnt on netflix. Bradley Cooper is a disgraced chef who gets sober and wants to get more michelin stars. i suppose it is like the Bear, and in the same vein of comedy. glad people care about food to a degree, but it seems like a miserable existence
Bearing Witness, Native American Voices in Hollywood (TCM) Good documentary on Native American portrayals in film. There have been a number of these -Blacks, Asians which tended to focus on the lack of use of non-white actors in roles, this was predominantly about the portrayal of Native Americans.
Babygirl (HBO) Not really for me, I feel I have seen similar stories done before in many ways. This wasnāt any better, unique or edgy

Agreeā¦can anyone confirm if the tv series holds up?
The TV series is a little similar. I liked it well enough, not as strong as the movie though. I think there were 3 seasons. I may do a rewatch later this year though.
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on Paramount+. Four down, three to go before the newest/last(?) one.
That one is my favorite. Big Brad Bird fan (where is that ā1906ā film? wiki says maybe a mini-series).
Finished the āMillenniumā trilogy, Swedish version.
Wow, those white guys all look alike. The white women, too.
The movies took out some of the many hookups of the lead male character.
Oceanās Eleven
Oceanās Twelve
Oceanās Thirteen
Just watched. Itās good, but man is it depressing at the end.
Letās take a super pretty girl and see how horrible we can make them look with piercings and supposedly edgy clothes/makeup/random spikes everywhere. Thatās my main thought on those movies.
You liked it, too?
The books were better, particularly the first.
Mission Impossible 4,5, & 6. Just one more before I hit the theater.
Friendship at the theater. Paul Rudd flick with Kate Mara and Tim Robinson. I donāt know anything about Tim. I read the IMDB reviews and most folks loved it. I almost walked out halfway through, but decided to stick it out to see if it got better or I was missing something. Nope. Story is about male friendships and how awfully cringey they get. There was no likeable character in the entire movie. The story is stupid and the acting is terrible. Iād give it 1 star on IMDB if I bothered to rate it.
Rumble Fish. On Prime. It was leaving today.
Not that great.
The song during the end credits was better.
Movie is meh. Soundtrack is great.
All caught up on MI with Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. Ready for the last one on Wednesday.
Jane Austen Wrecked My Life at the theater. Was expecting a very charming story, but was left underwhelmed. It was OK, but not worth seeing in the theater.
Ferrari on Hulu. Adam Driver as Enzo was a huge stretch and I donāt feel he pulled it off. There were two stories taking place at the same time and neither really worked. The ending was very abrupt. It felt like it needed another 20 minutes to really wrap things up.
Invitation To a Murder on Amazon. A sort of Agatha Christie story. Enjoyed it.
ABBA documentary, on Netflix. Enlightening.
Sly Lives! On Hulu, i think. Very interesting. The theory of black genius weaves throughout.
Some doc about a 1970 canadian train rock tour.
Guessing @Cooke would know about it. Dead, Band, Joplin, some others.
Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning
Yeah, The Festival Express. I remember when the event happened in 1970. The doc was made about 20 years ago. Not much of a movie but there were many of my favourite musicians on that train.
Harvey with Jimmy Stewart. Iād heard of it and been wanting to watch it for a while, then saw it was streaming on one of the services we have. Very enjoyable movie.
Reminded me a lot of Arsenic and Old Lace, (probably because they share an actress, but also the general feel of the movie), which now I want to watch again. Will probably wait until Halloween though.
The Luckiest Man in America on Apple TV ($6.99). This based on the true story of the guy who beat āPress Your Luckā back in the early 1980s. I had heard the story years ago so I wanted to see a film about it. Not very good, IMO. Seemed very unevenly paced, awkward reactions from a lot of the characters that seemed out of place, finished weakly.
Bob Trevino Likes It on Apple TV ($6.99). Very tough movie to watch. The daughter is on the outs with her dad and accidentally finds another guy with the same name and becomes his friend. Heās maybe her dadās age. She gets to share some father/daughter time with him, which she needs desperately. We are left waiting for dad to be redeemed, but he ends up billing her for all the money he spent raising her, since he never wanted her in the first place. The ending will leave you ugly crying. Well worth the watch.
